Filling the iron – the best tips
Most steam irons come with so-called beak cups to fill in the required water. Unfortunately, these cups are often not particularly accurate.
- However, if you also use a kitchen funnel to help, filling the iron usually works without any problems.
- Pressure sprayers are another way of filling the tank of the household appliance with distilled water. You can also use a flower sprayer or an empty spray bottle, for example from a glass cleaner. However, the front part should be long enough so that you can hold it in the tank opening. Clean the spray bottle thoroughly before using it.
- You can also use the empty bottle of detergent with many steam iron tanks to fill in the water accurately.
- Bottles with a hose attachment are also suitable. After you have hung the hose in the tank, the water can be filled in without dripping.
