Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 sheet of dough (phyllo pastry)
  • some butter, liquid

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

Take a sheet of filo pastry (spring roll wrappers from an Asian store) and divide it into four pieces. Grease a well in a muffin tin with melted butter and place the first quarter in the tin. Butter again and place the second sheet in the middle, offsetting the middle. Continue this process until all four pieces are in. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 5-8 minutes, depending on the oven. Be careful! This cooks very quickly and will turn a deep brown or black in no time. The basket is perfect for arranging a small salad or dessert. You can also place the filo sheets on an upside-down ovenproof dish and bake them like this.
