Finnish meatloaf – Lihamureke

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g minced meat
  • 100 ml cream
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper, coarsely ground
  • 0.4 tsp black pepper, finely ground
  • 0.2 tsp white pepper
  • 50 g breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

for a casserole dish

Combine the cream, breadcrumbs, egg, and all the spices in a bowl and mix. Let stand for 10 minutes. Dice the onion and sauté in a pan with oil until translucent. Add the onions and ground beef to the bowl and mix everything together. Pour the batter into an ovenproof dish. Bake in the lower third of the oven preheated to 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30-40 minutes. This dish is delicious with mashed potatoes and vegetables, for example.
