Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cod fillet(s)
  • 1 egg(s)
  • some sesame
  • some chia seeds
  • some almonds, chopped
  • lots of coconut oil or other fat for frying
  • some Himalayan salt or sea salt
  • some pepper
  • n. B. Flour, optional

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the fillet, pat dry (leave moist if using flour), and season with salt and pepper. Crack open an egg and whisk. Mix the sesame seeds, chia seeds, and almonds. Coat the fish first in the egg (or flour first if necessary), then in the seed mixture. Heat plenty of coconut oil and fry the fish on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side. We served it with romanesco puree. Tip: Add 1 teaspoon of cream (almond cream) to the beaten egg. Variations: Coat only in chia seeds, chia sesame seeds, or just sesame seeds, or just almonds.
