Fish Ragout in Herb-mustard Sauce

The perfect fish ragout in herb-mustard sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Cod fillet
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 400 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 a cup Cream
  • 1 tbsp 8 Kräuter TK
  • 1 tbsp Mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Cut the fish fillets into small pieces, season with salt and pepper and sauté briefly in the butter on both sides, remove and set aside.
  2. Now stir the flour in the hot butter or fish stock until foamy, deglaze with the vegetable stock and cream, add the herbs and mustard, simmer for about 3 minutes while stirring, season with salt and pepper, add the fish to the sauce and let it steep in a closed pot for approx. 5-10 min.
  3. Serve the fish ragout with boiled potatoes.
