Fish sausage on leaf salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pieces of bratwurst (fish sausages)
  • 1 head of lettuce or other leaf salad
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 6 tbsp dressing (in my recipes)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Fish sausages are made from whitefish (70%) and pork (30%), along with spices. They have a light flavor without a dominant fish flavor. Cut the sausages into three equal pieces and then cut each into thirds lengthwise. This creates long sausage slices that can be quickly and easily fried over medium heat in a little olive oil. Clean and wash the lettuce, spin dry, and tear into bite-sized pieces. Pour the dressing over the lettuce and mix well. Add finely chopped dill and spread it evenly. Arrange the lettuce on deep plates and arrange the still-warm sausage slices around it. For the dressing, see “Schrat’s Dressing for Leaf Salads.”
