Flambéed strawberries

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 100 g sugar
  • 100 ml wine, red, strong
  • 50 ml cherry brandy
  • Almond(s) (flakes) for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Heat the sugar in a pan until golden yellow (not brown). Deglaze with red wine. Heat the washed and deseeded strawberries in it. Pour the slightly warmed kirsch over the strawberries and flambé. Serve sprinkled with flaked almonds. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
