Strawberry Fraîche

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 360 g crème fraîche
  • pepper, black
  • Sugar
  • possibly whipped cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Strawberry Fraîche is a tasty and light dessert

Halve or quarter the strawberries, depending on their size. Leave 6 strawberries whole. Place them in a bowl and sprinkle with black pepper (preferably from a mill, about 4 to 5 turns). Sprinkle with sugar, if desired, and mix them together. Let them sit for about half an hour. Place the crème fraîche in a tall measuring jug, add half of the strawberries, and puree. Divide the other half among 6 cups or dessert bowls. Pour the strawberry mixture over the top. Place a whole strawberry on top to decorate each one. Tip: If you’re feeling fancy and/or don’t mind the weight, you can place the strawberries on a dollop of whipped cream.
