Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g butter, very soft
  • 100 g powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 lemon(s), either grated peel or juice
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 jar Nutella (or similar), alternatively strawberry jam or jelly
  • 1 cake icing, dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Combine butter, powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and eggs in a bowl and beat until fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, and lemon juice or grated zest. Pipe the batter onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper, using the shape you like. Remember, however, that the two halves will be glued together later, so pipe evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for about 10-15 minutes. Let cool, then spread with jam, jelly, or hazelnut spread to glue the halves together. Finally, dip or brush half of the batter into the glaze.
