Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 125 g butter, cold
  • 1 bottle of butter-vanilla flavoring
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 bottles of bitter almond flavor
  • 1 tsp cognac
  • 200 g almonds, chopped or sliced

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 32 minutes; Total time approx. 57 minutes

quick to make yet sophisticated

First, knead the dough ingredients into a shortcrust pastry and press them into a springform pan lined with baking paper (you may need to pull up the edges slightly). Pre-bake the base in a preheated oven at 220°C for about 12 minutes. Meanwhile, melt the topping ingredients in a saucepan while stirring, let them cool slightly, and then spread them evenly over the dough. Bake for about 20 minutes at 200°C (I set the oven to 280°C for the last 10 minutes to ensure the cake gets a nice brown finish).
