Flattened potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • n. B. Potato(s), small
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tsp sesame oil, dark
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce, Japanese
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp sake
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Asian style

Crush the garlic clove and chop very finely or press it through a press. Add the sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, and sake to the garlic and mix well. Wash the potatoes thoroughly with their skins on and cook until tender. Line a baking tray with baking paper and brush with the oil. Place the potatoes on top. Place another piece of baking paper on top of a potato and press it down with a small pot. Do the same with the remaining potatoes and brush with the oil. Place the baking tray in the oven preheated to 200°C for about 35 minutes. Then brush the potatoes with the marinade and let them bake for a few more minutes. Repeat the brushing process once more and leave the potatoes in the oven until golden brown and crispy.
