Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cube of yeast, fresh
  • 220 g margarine, room temperature
  • 1 cup milk, lukewarm
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Sugar (granulated sugar)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Coffee biscuits, makes approx. 18 biscuits

Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Then mix everything together and knead into a shiny, smooth dough (about 5 minutes). Shape into about 18 snakes and then roll in sugar. The original flax wraps look like the AIDS ribbon. Place on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise until the oven is preheated. Bake in a preheated oven at about 220°C for about 18 minutes. Use the bottom rack – top and bottom heat. They’re very quick to make and a great addition to coffee for surprise guests.
