Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g pumpkin flesh
  • 125 ml water
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 500 g flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Boil the peeled pumpkin in 125 ml of water. When the pumpkin flesh is tender, drain the water and puree the flesh. Stir the milk and margarine into the pumpkin puree. Then mix with the rest of the mixture and let it rise in a greased, floured loaf pan until it has doubled in size. Place in a cold oven and bake at 170°C for 40-50 minutes. A moist, soft loaf with a natural color. Good luck—our bread always goes fast.
