Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 ml whole milk
  • 50 g sugar or to taste
  • 30 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 m.-sized orange(s), peel
  • 250 ml water, boiling

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat and immediately remove from the heat. Combine the sugar, orange juice, and orange zest in a heatproof bowl and pour in the boiling water. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Allow the liquid to cool and stir into the milk. Once completely cold, strain the milk through a sieve. Serve the milk either warm or cold. This serving serves 2 to 3 people.
