from a springform pan
For the crumble: Put the flour in a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, and egg. Quickly mix everything with your hands until you have a crumbly crumble batter. Line a springform pan with baking paper and pour in two-thirds of the batter. Press the crumble into the pan and raise the sides to a height of about two centimeters. For the pudding: Heat the milk in a saucepan and stir in the sugar. Mix the pudding mix with a few tablespoons of milk until smooth. When the milk boils, stir in the pudding mix and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Let the pudding cool. Once cooled, stir in the crème fraîche. Pour the pudding onto the pastry case. Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan). Wash the apples, peel them, core them, and cut the flesh into small pieces. Place the pieces in a bowl and mix with the brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Place the apples on top of the pudding mixture and sprinkle with the remaining crumble batter. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes.
