Fluffy Vanilla Waffles

The perfect fluffy vanilla waffles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Mulled wine cherries

  • 350 g Liquid butter
  • 325 g Extra fine sugar
  • 40 g Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 240 ml Water
  • 500 g Sifted flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Glasses Cherries
  • 2 packet Red cake topping
  • 2 bag Mulled wine spice
  • Dry red wine
  1. Put the eggs in the bowl of a food processor and beat with the whisk for about 1 minute.
  2. Then add the melted butter and salt
  3. Mix in the sugar for 1 minute while stirring flat, then stir in the vanilla sugar and water and stir again for 1 minute.
  4. Add the flour little by little until the mixture is smooth and without lumps.
  5. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 10 minutes and then bake in the waffle iron

Mulled wine cherries

  1. Drain the cherries in a sieve, collecting the juice. Fill up with the wine to 600ml and heat in a saucepan with the bags of mulled wine spice (finished product. Looks like tea bags) for 10 minutes. Then remove the spice bags and prepare a cake topping according to the instructions on the packet. Mix in the cherries, place in a bowl and serve with the waffles and cream.
