Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 12 bratwursts (grilled sausages)
- 200 g hard cheese, Bavarian
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), diced
- 6 tbsp vinegar
- Salt
- black pepper, freshly ground
- some mustard
- some horseradish, freshly grated
- n. B. Herbs (8 herbs, frozen)
- 4 tbsp rapeseed oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Brown the bratwurst in oil in a pan until lightly browned, remove, slice thinly, and let cool. Cut the cheese into short, thin sticks. Combine the sausage slices and the cheese sticks in a bowl. Mix the vinegar with a little salt, pepper, mustard, horseradish, and herbs. Let stand for a while, then whisk in the oil. Layer the sausage and cheese mixture in a pot, adding a little of the marinade each time. Let stand for about 1 hour (carefully turning 3-4 times during this time), then add the onion.
