Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 200 g flour
- 1 egg(s)
- 100 g butter
- 100 ml water
- 400 g onion(s), cut into rings
- 200 g ham (diced ham)
- 100 g cheese, grated
- 200 ml cream
- 2 eggs
- salt and pepper
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
For the dough: Knead the dough with flour, egg, a little salt, finely chopped butter, and a portion of the water. Wrap it up and let it rest for 30 minutes. For the filling: Soak the bacon in a little water and cut the cheese into coarse strips. Lightly sauté the onions and bacon together. Roll out the dough, prick the base a little, and cover with bacon/onions and cheese. Make a royale with eggs, cream, a little salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Bake for about 30 minutes at about 160°C.
