Fill the dough into a greased, lightly floured wreath form with a diameter of 26cm and bake in the preheated oven at 190 ° for about 40-45 minutes. After baking, let the cake rest in the mold for 10 minutes and then turn it out onto a wire rack and place the wreath let cool down well.
Preparation of buttercream …
- Put the vanilla powder with sugar and a little milk in a shaker beaker and bring the remaining milk to the boil. Stir the dissolved pudding powder into the hot milk and bring the pudding to the boil again. Then transfer to a bowl, put it in cold water and stir and lick until the pudding has reached room temperature. In the meantime, stir the butter at room temperature until creamy, stir in the vanilla pudding by tablespoon, add about 1/2 vial of butter vanilla flavor and mix everything well again. Divide the buttercream into three equal parts .. with 2/3 fill the wreath twice .. use the remaining third all around and for the decoration.
- In between, brown the flaked almonds in the microwave for 4-5 minutes.
Completion…
- Cut the wreath twice horizontally with a cake cutter. Brush the bottom base with currant jelly, then apply a layer of buttercream and place the second base on top. Repeat the process all over again; brush the assembled wreath completely with buttercream and sprinkle with the toasted almond flakes. You can also caramelize chopped almonds with butter and sugar and coat the wreath with the brittle … just as you like, both taste heavenly … mmmhhh!
The coronation…
- The time has finally come! The wreath gets its precious crown on top, mark the individual cake pieces with a knife, fill the remaining buttercream into a piping bag with a star nozzle and squirt 8 or 16 beautiful, equal-sized cream tuffs onto the wreath, each rosette is still made Decorated with a candied cherry (my sparkling rubies) and the coronation is done. ; o) afterwards, the Frankfurter Kranz can first relax from the festive ceremony in a cool cupboard.
- I’m also completely unfinished from the festive act and need a cup of coffee first before I treat myself to this divine taste experience ..; o)
- Good luck and have fun while enjoying! …
