Freeze Sugar Snap Peas: You Have to Keep This in Mind

Freeze sugar snap peas: you have to keep this in mind

You can wrap freshly bought snow peas in a damp towel first. The vegetables will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. To make the legumes last longer, you can freeze them:

  1. First, you need to wash and trim the sugar snap peas.
  2. Boil water and blanch the legumes for 5 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, prepare ice water and then shock the pods in it. This preserves the fresh green color. Then dry the sugar snap peas.
  4. Freezer bags are just as suitable for freezing as freezer boxes.
  5. You can keep the snow peas in the freezer for up to 24 months.
