Freezing Spaghetti: With This Preparation it Works

How to properly freeze spaghetti

Before you freeze the spaghetti leftovers, you need to make sure that the pasta has cooled down well.

  • Do not leave the noodles at room temperature for long. This will prevent the formation of germs and bacteria.
  • When the spaghetti has completely cooled, it is best to add a few drops of cooking oil and toss the noodles in it. This will ensure they don’t stick together after defrosting.
  • If you have a large number of noodles left, it makes sense to freeze these portions so that you don’t have to thaw them all again.
  • Use a freezer bag or a plastic container suitable for the freezer compartment. Close the container well and put it in the freezer.
  • In contrast to plastic boxes, freezer bags are far more space-saving and better suited for freezing portions.
