Freeze zucchini – that’s how it works
- First, wash the zucchini thoroughly and make sure that no remains of soil are stuck to the vegetables.
- After washing, cut the zucchini into small cubes. You can find instructions on how to do this here.
- You can now portion the chopped vegetables well. Fill the portions into freezer bags or freezer containers and place them in the freezer.
- Frozen courgettes can be kept for up to 12 months. However, after defrosting, the vegetables are not as crisp as when you bought them fresh. You should keep this in mind when planning a zucchini dish. Frozen zucchini is not suitable for salads or skewers, but it is good for soups or casseroles.
