Classic and new

A classic recipe, with minimal modifications! First, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and cut them into small pieces to cook faster. Dice the onion and bacon and fry them in a pan with a little oil and the bacon rind until golden brown. Next, add the sauerkraut to the bacon and onions, and pour in a little water. Season everything with caraway seeds and a pinch of salt. Slowly fry the sausages in a pan over medium heat. Once the potatoes are tender, drain them through a sieve and return them to the pot. Then mash them with a little cream to create a tasty puree. Season the puree with nutmeg, pepper, and salt.
