Fresh mango lassi

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g mango pulp, frozen
  • 500 g natural yogurt
  • some sweetener or sugar, to taste
  • some milk as desired
  • possibly raspberries and mint leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Cool shake or fruity lassi – your choice!

Place the natural yogurt and mango in a blender and blend on full speed for about 1 minute until you get a creamy shake. Depending on the sweetness of the mango, sweeten to taste with sugar or sugar substitute. Depending on how thick the yogurt is, I often add a little milk. Serve in a pretty glass with a thick straw, raspberries, and a mint leaf, either immediately ice-cold as a shake, or wait about 10-20 minutes to serve it as a slightly chilled mango lassi. The raspberries won’t stick well after that, so instead, thread them onto a skewer and arrange them on the rim of the glass. Enjoy! Tips: You can vary this with various ingredients! Just gently season with a little cumin and cardamom! Heavenly! It also tastes great as a raspberry-mango lassi, sometimes flavored with mint, sometimes with saffron, or a splash of rose water. Be creative. Goes well with all spicy Indian dishes or simply for breakfast or after exercise.
