Spread the love

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

very simple, but a delicious meal

Thoroughly clean the mushrooms (porcini, chanterelles, brown caps, chestnut mushrooms) (best with a dry brush and a knife). Rinse briefly in cold water if necessary. Meanwhile, heat the butter in a pan, then add the finely chopped onion and mushrooms. Cover and sauté for a while to allow them to cook through. Then fry until golden brown, stirring frequently. Serve with buttered bread or potatoes. This actually makes a complete meal on its own; of course, you could also serve it with meat, such as a schnitzel or steak. But that’s not necessary, as this “meat of the forest” is already very high in protein and well-suited to a vegetarian diet.
