Fried Asparagus …
The perfect fried asparagus … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 600 g Fresh asparagus
- 30 g Branded butter
- 2 Pinches Salt
- 2 Pinches Sugar
- 2 tablespoon Water
- Peel the asparagus and cut away about 2 cm at the bottom. Cut the sticks diagonally into bite-sized pieces.
- Fry the butter in a sufficiently large pan and when it starts to brown, add the asparagus pieces. Fry over medium heat, turning occasionally, until the asparagus also begins to brown.
- Add the water, season with salt and sugar, put a lid on and let the fine vegetables sizzle for about 7 minutes, shaking the pan from time to time.
- I recommend a cooking test, because thick stalks can take a minute or two longer – the asparagus should definitely still have a bit of “bite” and by no means become too soft.
- We particularly like this asparagus variant because the delicious taste is retained and none of it disappears in the cooking stock.
- Today I served the fried asparagus with hash browns and chicken nuggets.
