Fried Chicory …

The perfect fried chicory … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 piston Chicory
  • 40 g Branded butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Water
  • 2 Pinches Salt
  1. Cut the vegetables in half lengthways and cut away some of the hard central wedge. It is no longer bitter today, but the vegetables cook faster without this firm wedge.
  2. Fry the butter with a pinch of salt and when it starts to brown, put the half cobs of chicory in with the cut surface facing down, fry for about 3 minutes until browned; then turn.
  3. Add the water, season with a little salt and a little bit of fondor, put a lid on and cook for another 3 minutes.
  4. Using a spoon, drizzle the bratsud that is in the pan over the flasks and serve the finely tart chicory vegetables.
