Fried noodles with sesame

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g noodles (Quick Cooking Noodles), instant
  • 1 tbsp ginger, finely diced
  • 1 tsp garlic, finely diced
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice wine (Mirin)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds, black and white
  • ½ tbsp chili pepper(s), finely diced
  • salt and pepper
  • Oil (peanut oil)
  • Oil (sesame oil from roasted sesame seeds)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

as a side dish or small snack

Pour boiling water over the quick-cooking noodles and let them stand for 5 minutes. Drain and let them drain well. Heat a wok with about 4 tablespoons of oil (1:1 sesame and peanut oil), add the garlic and ginger, and fry briefly. Add the well-drained noodles and toss. Add the soy sauce, mirin, and chili, season with salt and pepper, and fry the noodles until crispy. Add the sesame seeds, toss again, and serve.
