Fried plaice with onion and bacon vegetables

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 plaice fillets or flounder fillets
  • 2 onions
  • 250 g bacon, streaky
  • Chili powder (chilli red)
  • salt and pepper
  • white wine
  • lemon juice
  • Flour
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Fish very simple

Prepare the fish according to the 3 “S” formula (clean, salt, and marinate) and let it rest for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, peel the onions and slice them into strips. Cut the bacon into small cubes. Brown the bacon in a pan and add the onion strips. Season with chili flakes, pepper, and salt, deglaze with a dash of white wine, and simmer until tender. Meanwhile, pat the fish dry and coat in flour. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the fish until crispy and brown. Be careful, it will splatter a bit. Serve on plates and serve with boiled potatoes.
