Fried potatoes with a twist – Indian spices

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g waxy potatoes from the day before
  • 5 tsp, heaped cumin
  • Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp, heaped garam masala
  • sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • chili powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Either use boiled potatoes from the day before or boil them in their jackets and let them cool completely. Quarter the potatoes, place them in a bowl, add the powdered spices, and toss to combine. Heat the oil in a nonstick pan and fry the potatoes on all sides. Now add the garlic and coriander. Add a knob of butter and toss to combine again. A great side dish for a variety of Indian dishes.
