Fried Potatoes with Asian Touch
The perfect fried potatoes with asian touch recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Cooked potatoes
- 1 St. Onion, red
- 3 tbsp Wok oil or peanut oil
- 1 tsp Ground ginger
- 1 tsp Hot paprika powder
- 1 tsp Ground turmeric spice
- Salt, pepper from the mill
- Potato cooked, peeled, cut into cubes from the day before. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a coated pan, stir-fry the potatoes for at least 5 minutes, then turn and fry again for 5 minutes. Then turn several times.
- In the meantime, cut the onion into 1/4 rings. Fry in a separate pan with 1 tablespoon of oil, turning occasionally. Glassy or dark, depending on your preference.
- Just before the potato cubes have the desired brownness, add the ginger, turmeric, paprika powder and the onion, mix well and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Salt, pepper. Finished! If you want it spicier, you can sprinkle with chilli flakes.
- Can you eat well solo, then about 500 grams more potatoes. Or as a side dish e.g. with shredded chicken, Chinese.
- Turmeric gives the cubes a nice yellow color.
