Fried white cabbage

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g white cabbage
  • 100 g onion(s), diced
  • 4 tbsp oil, preferably sesame or peanut oil
  • 8 eggs, very fresh
  • pepper
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • n. B. Sambal Oelek

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the white cabbage into thin strips. Sauté the diced onions in hot oil until translucent, add the cabbage, and fry for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally (it should still be crisp). Whisk the eggs well with the soy sauce and pepper, pour over the cabbage, and mix lightly (the egg should still be slightly runny). If you like it a bit spicier, you can add sambal oelek as desired. Serve the cabbage with rice, if desired. Baguette is also good. Otherwise, enjoy on its own.
