Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 300 g flour
- 500 ml milk
- 3 eggs
- 25 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- vegetable oil
- 3 large potatoes or wild berries or plums as desired
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
with potatoes, wild berries or plums
Separate the eggs, beat the egg whites with vanilla sugar until stiff, and place in the refrigerator. Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into long, thin strips, sort of like stickers, and set them aside. Mix the flour, egg yolks, sugar, and a pinch of salt in the milk until smooth. Fold the stiffly beaten egg whites into the batter. Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and lightly fry a handful of potato sticks, seasoning with salt and pepper. Using a ladle, spread the batter over the sticks and fry on both sides until golden brown. Or you can make it with wild berries or plums; heat a little vegetable oil in a pan, use a ladle to spread the batter on the bottom of the pan, scatter the wild berries or plums over the batter, and fry on both sides as described above.
