Fruit Island – children love the fruit plate

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 orange(s)
  • 1 banana(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Pure fruit – healthy and beautiful, a suggestion how to serve fruit

Peel all the fruit. Cut the kiwi into wedges for the palm leaves, and divide the orange into segments – these will form the island. Halve the banana lengthwise and then cut into pieces (slices) for the palm tree trunks. If there are any “baby segments” in the orange, “hang” them on the palm tree as fruit. On a large plate, preferably a pizza plate, form an island with the orange segments at the bottom edge of the plate. The two palm trees will grow on this island, with their banana trunks and kiwi leaves. When my daughter was little, it was always the highlight when we made a fruit island. Children eat with their eyes even more than we “grown-ups” do.
