Fruity curry sauce with a twist

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 ml cola
  • 3 tbsp applesauce
  • 6 cl vinegar, hot (e.g. from pickled pepper)
  • 400 ml tomato(s), pureed
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp curry powder
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (e.g. Sriracha)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

with currywurst

Heat the cola and reduce it to about 1/4 of its original volume. Then add the spicy vinegar and all other liquid ingredients, simmer for about 5 minutes, remove from heat, and stir in the curry powder. This makes enough for about 8-10 sausages.
