Fruity spread without added sugar

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 banana(s)
  • 1 handful of berries of your choice (e.g. raspberries, blueberries, strawberries) or
  • 1 kiwi(s), possibly or
  • 1 mango(s)
  • possibly honey or sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

as an alternative to jam / marmalade

Puree the banana and desired fruit with a hand blender and fill into screw-top jars. This spread will keep in the refrigerator for about 3 days. I’ve already tried the following variations: 1 banana always serves as the “base.” Mix in either 1 handful of raspberries, 1 handful of blueberries, 1 kiwi, 1 kiwi and 1 mango, or 1 handful of strawberries. Of course, you can also add a teaspoon of honey or sugar if you prefer a sweeter taste. However, if the fruit is nice and ripe, it’s sweet enough for my taste.
