Preparations for frying the mushrooms

  • You need a large enough pan in which to spread the mushrooms.
  • You will also need a brush with which to clean your mushrooms beforehand.
  • You should have sunflower oil and condiments such as salt and pepper ready.
  • You can also dice an onion, which you then add to the pan with the mushrooms.

Frying mushrooms: this is how it’s done

  • Before you put the mushrooms in the pan, you need to strongly heat the sunflower oil in the pan. If the heat is too low, you would cook rather than fry the mushrooms and the taste of the mushrooms would suffer.
  • Make sure the pan is big enough so the mushrooms don’t pile up. Otherwise, you would fry the mushrooms unevenly.
  • If after about eight minutes you can see that the mushrooms are turning brownish, you can add the prepared onion pieces.
  • Toss the pan with the mushrooms and onion for another minute or two and finally add some salt and pepper.
