Ingredients

  • 3 Half and half potato dumplings
  • 250 g Brussels sprouts fresh
  • 1 L Boiling water
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 40 g Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tsp Breadcrumbs
  • 6 small Sausages of your choice
  • BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • Clean the Brussels sprouts and cook in boiling water with salt and sugar over a mild heat with the lid on for 8 to 9 minutes. Cut the dumplings from the day before into 1 cm thick slices.
  • Melt half of the butter in a pan and fry the dumplings in it over medium heat until they start to brown on the edge, then turn once and also fry the 2nd side until golden yellow with a browned edge, only now season lightly with salt.
  • In a small pot, fry the remaining butter with a pinch of salt and the breadcrumbs until everything is golden brown.
  • At the same time, put the sausages in boiling water, take them off the stove and cover them and let them get hot.
  • Drain the cooked Brussels sprouts in a colander, place in a serving bowl and top with the browned crumbly butter.
  • Serve the roasting dumplings with Brussels sprouts and sausages (we had "Original Rhönjäger" with it today).
