Gaby's pointed cabbage stew with minced meat and cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 m.-large pointed cabbage
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 500 g potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 200 g cream cheese or Gouda cheese
  • 1 large onion(s), diced
  • e.g. meat broth
  • oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Clean the pointed cabbage, halve it, remove the stalk, cut it into strips, and wash it. Brown the minced meat in a little oil until crumbly, add the diced onion. Add the pointed cabbage and diced potatoes and top up with meat broth. Don’t use too much broth at first, as the cabbage will shrink quite a bit during cooking; you don’t want it to become too runny. When the pointed cabbage and potatoes are tender, stir in the cream cheese and season with salt and pepper.
