Gallic magic potion

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 480 ml fruit juice, light, e.g. clear apple juice or clear grape juice
  • 250 ml vodka
  • 250 ml liqueur (Ramazotti)
  • 6 ml Tabasco
  • 32 ml Blue Curaçao syrup (e.g. Monin)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 12 minutes

Alcoholic party gag – not for children. The recipe is for 1 liter or 25 shot glasses of 4 cl each.

I developed this recipe specifically for a large “Gaul” party and then brewed it in large batches – heated and served in a large copper kettle over the fire. It was an absolute hit. The potion is slightly sweet, very herbal, and spicy at the end – surprise! If you prefer it less spicy, you can simply omit the Tabasco. Measure all the ingredients and mix. The Curacao syrup adds color, so the magic potion is a lovely green. Heat in a saucepan (do not boil!) and serve immediately. It tastes best hot.
