Garlic baguette

Spread the love

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 3 baguettes (250 g each)
  • 250 g butter, soft
  • salt and pepper
  • ½ bunch chives, cut into rolls
  • ½ bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • 10 basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 12 cloves garlic, crushed or finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Make garlic butter from butter, herbs, spices, and garlic. Cut the baguettes into slices, but don’t cut all the way through, so you can tear the slices off later. Spread plenty of garlic butter between the slices. Wrap the baguettes in aluminum foil. Bake in a hot oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10-15 minutes. Serve hot. Caution: The garlic butter is only suitable for garlic baguettes; it contains too much garlic for normal use. If you want to serve the garlic butter with meat, use only half the garlic; however, the baguettes won’t taste as good.
