simple, quick to prepare, the ideal side dish for grilled food and salad

Peel and finely press the garlic. Melt the butter in the microwave. In a bowl, blend the melted butter, olive oil, and crushed garlic until very finely pureed using a hand blender or a mixer. Depending on the size, halve or third the baguette and then slice lengthwise. Spread the garlic, butter, and olive oil mixture generously onto the cut surfaces of the bread. Rejoin the top and bottom halves and place them in an airtight bag or box at room temperature for at least two hours, or preferably four to six hours, to allow the baguettes to completely absorb the garlic, butter, and olive oil mixture. Finally, separate the baguette halves and place them on a baking sheet, butter-side up, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 200°C (400°F) top/bottom heat. The garlic bread is a perfect side dish for grilled food or salad.
