Garlic bread with cheese

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ciabatta
  • 2 cloves garlic, halved
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 2 tbsp parsley, flat, finely chopped
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), finely grated
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Cut the bread at 2.5cm intervals, but do not cut all the way through. Brush the cuts in the bread with the garlic halves. Rub the surface of the bread with garlic. Then press the garlic through. Mix the butter, garlic, parsley, and cheese well in a bowl and season. Spread the butter mixture evenly into the cuts in the bread. Place the bread on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes, until the bread is warm and the cheese has melted into the butter mixture. Pairs well with tomato salad.
