Garlic carrot vegetables

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 carrots
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • some sweet paprika powder
  • some salt
  • some fresh parsley, chopped
  • possibly water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the carrots and cut into slices about 8 mm thick. Peel the garlic and cut the cloves into relatively large pieces (halve, quarter at most). Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the carrots and garlic and fry lightly. Then reduce the heat, season with paprika and salt, and simmer with the lid on for about 10 minutes. Add a little water if necessary. The carrots shouldn’t get too soft. Add the parsley at the end. The garlic should be fresh. If it isn’t fresh, be sure to remove the green sprout! You can eat the garlic or just pick it out, depending on your taste. With really fresh garlic, the “garlic breath” after eating is rather minimal. This vegetable goes well with almost all meat dishes.
