Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1.2 kg chicken leg(s), wings, breast etc. with skin and bones
- 20 cocktail tomatoes, washed
- 10 garlic cloves, peeled
- 10 garlic cloves, unpeeled
- 16 potatoes, new potatoes (must be small potatoes), washed
- 50 g basil, leaves only
- 5 tbsp rapeseed oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Preheat the oven to 150°C fan/convection oven. Peel and halve 15 garlic cloves. Wash the chicken pieces and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper. Now “hide” the peeled and halved garlic cloves and the basil leaves under the skin of the chicken pieces. Spread them on a baking sheet, add the potatoes, tomatoes, and the unpeeled garlic cloves. The baking sheet will be full! Drizzle with oil. Season with salt and pepper again. Now cook everything in the oven for 70 minutes. Then increase the temperature to 180°C and cook for another 10 minutes, or until everything is golden brown – done. Garlic cooked in its skin is a dream. If you like, you can add more garlic.
