Garlic Plucked Bread
The perfect garlic plucked bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Bread dough
- 600 g Flour
- 300 ml Lukewarm water
- 42 g Yeast fresh
- 3 tsp Salt
- 50 ml Oil
- 0,5 tsp Sugar
Garlic Butter
- 150 g Soft butter
- 50 g Onion
- 3 Pc. Clove of garlic
- 20 g Chopped herbs
- 1 tsp Salt
- Crumble the yeast and dissolve it in the water. Knead together with the rest of the ingredients to form a dough. Shape a smooth ball and leave it covered in a warm place for at least 30 minutes. The dough should have risen visibly.
- Meanwhile, mix all the ingredients for the garlic butter together.
- Roll out the dough to about 40x50cm. Now spread the garlic butter generously on the dough.
- Now I cut the dough about 5cm wide strips, fold the strips like an accordion and put them in a greased springform pan so that you can see the zigzag pattern from above. Arrange the folded strips loosely in a circle.
- It is best to place the springform pan on a baking sheet as some of the butter will drip out. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° C for about 20 minutes, then remove the ring and bake for another 10 minutes so that the edge is also slightly browned.
- The end of the bread looks a bit like a large rose and you can simply pluck the pieces off. You can enjoy it warm or cold.
