Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g honey
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • 60 g almond(s), ground
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. clove powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 450 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg white
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • Food coloring, red
  • Sweets (colored sugar pearls)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

makes about 50 cookies

Heat the honey, add the sugar, almonds, cocoa, ginger, cloves, and eggs, and mix. Then add the flour and baking powder and knead. Chill for 2 hours. Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface and cut out any shapes you like. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at 180°C for about 15 minutes. To decorate, beat the egg whites until frothy and mix with the powdered sugar to form a firm glaze. Tint half of the mixture pink with food coloring. Decorate the cookies as desired. Stick the sugar pearls onto the wet glaze.
