Ingredients for 90 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 500 g powdered sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g candied lemon
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel
  • 1 tsp nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp clove powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 packet of baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Whisk the eggs, sifted powdered sugar, nutmeg, and remaining spices together. Combine the flour and baking powder and sift onto a work surface. Add the egg mixture and knead well into the flour. Form the dough into small balls, place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, and bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 10 minutes.
