Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 handful of fresh ginger
  • 1 liter of water
  • 500 ml honey or agave syrup

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the ginger and chop it into small pieces or chop it in a food processor. Simmer in the water with the lid closed for about 20-30 minutes. Then strain and thicken the liquid with the lid open until it reaches 250 ml. Add honey or agave syrup and bring to a brief boil. Remove from the heat immediately when the syrup begins to foam. Store in clean bottles and it will keep for 4-6 weeks. Good for coughs, sore throats, or nausea. Or simply enjoy it in tea or diluted with water for a refreshing drink.
