fine Advent cookies, makes about 45 pieces

Heat the honey, sugar, butter, and gingerbread spice while stirring (do not boil) until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool slightly, then stir in the egg. Sift the flour with the baking powder. Put half of the flour mixture into a bowl, add the honey and egg mixture, and mix with a dough hook until a smooth dough forms. Knead the remaining half into the dough with your hands, shape it into a ball, wrap it in foil, and refrigerate for about 1 hour. Roll out the cooled dough to a thickness of 5 mm and cut out circles with a diameter of about 5 cm. Place them on a greased baking sheet, leaving some space between them, and bake in a preheated oven at 150-175 degrees Celsius (300-350 degrees Fahrenheit), depending on the type of oven, for 15 minutes until golden brown. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
